Summary
- Tolls for the new Ohio River crossing start at $3.14 for transponder users.
- Monthly commuting costs could exceed $125 for frequent travelers.
- Toll rates will increase annually based on inflation or 2.5%.

The Ohio River Crossing Tolling Body has approved initial toll rates for the new I-69 bridge connecting Henderson, Kentucky, and Evansville, Indiana. These tolls will commence in 2032. For passenger vehicles with a transponder and prepaid account, the toll will be $3.14 each way. This could amount to over $1,600 annually for those commuting five days a week.
Drivers opting for monthly billing without a transponder will pay $6.25 each way, potentially reaching over $3,250 per year. Rates for medium and larger vehicles are also established. To account for rising costs, tolls are scheduled to increase annually on July 1, adjusted for inflation or by at least 2.5%, whichever is greater.
