Summary
- Startup secured Rs 20 crore seed funding from HNIs.
- Focuses on fast-charging, long-life batteries for heavy EVs.
- Develops complete battery technology stack in-house.

Coulomb Litech, a battery technology startup established by IIT Kanpur alumni Ameya Sathe and Darshil Dharod in 2020, has successfully raised Rs 20 crore in seed funding from High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs).
The Mumbai-based company specializes in developing advanced battery systems designed for medium and heavy electric vehicles. These systems cater to diverse applications such as material handling equipment, electric tractors, construction machinery, electric three-wheelers, and energy storage solutions.
Coulomb Litech's battery platforms operate across a wide voltage range (51V to 700V) with capacities up to 80 kWh. A significant advantage is their proprietary, in-house developed technology stack, encompassing hardware, software, and algorithms, which ensures fast charging and extended battery longevity.
With the newly acquired capital, Coulomb Litech plans to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Navi Mumbai. The funds will also support business expansion, research and development, and scaling up pilot programs in heavy electric vehicle segments.
Furthermore, the startup intends to bolster collaborations with OEMs and fleet operators to accelerate the adoption of its battery solutions. They are also focused on enhancing product reliability, safety, and performance consistency under demanding operational conditions, contributing to India's electrification goals.
