Summary
- Ethereum ETFs saw over $220 million in net inflows on August 20.

- Exchange-held ETH supply decreased by about 15% in 11 weeks.

Spot Ethereum ETFs experienced a significant surge on August 20, attracting over $220 million in net inflows. This marks the fourth consecutive day of positive fund flows, indicating sustained institutional interest following Ethereum's recent price recovery.
BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) was the primary driver of this influx, securing approximately $173 million. Other notable contributors included BlackRock's ETHB with $35.9 million and Fidelity's FETH with $5.8 million. These inflows are particularly impactful given the funds' struggles with outflows totaling over $1 billion in May and June.
Ethereum's price has also responded positively, breaking above the $2,300 resistance level and trading near $2,400. This price action, coupled with the consistent ETF demand, suggests strengthening market sentiment. Furthermore, a notable 15% decrease in exchange-held ETH supply, from 7.70 million to 6.54 million coins between early June and August 18, indicates a potential reduction in immediate selling pressure.
