- Eligible trusts have six months from June 29, 2026, to apply.
- Scheme provides retrospective regularisation and benefits for eligible trusts.

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced the Amnesty Scheme 2026, offering eligible Provident Fund (PF) Trusts a six-month period to apply for retrospective exemption.
This one-time scheme, launched on June 29, 2026, is designed for establishments with PF Trusts recognized under the Income Tax Act, 1961, but which have not obtained formal exemption under the EPF & MP Act, 1952. The application window will remain open until December 29, 2026.
Key benefits include retrospective regularization of trust status and recognition from its inception. Eligible entities will also see pending assessments for dues, damages, and interest withdrawn, provided their member accounts received contributions and interest at or above statutory rates. Past finalized orders will be treated as void.
Entities can submit applications through their concerned EPFO Regional Office or by emailing rc.exemption@epfindia.gov.in. The EPFO Regional Office will provide guidance and process all submitted applications under this amnesty program.
