This public stance came after delivery partners from various platforms, including Zomato, went on strike on December 31st, demanding better pay and working conditions.

The entrepreneur faced warnings that their criticism could jeopardize business interests, including potential future investment from venture capital firms and access to services like Blinkit. Despite these cautions, they affirmed their commitment to speaking out on issues central to their industry. The entrepreneur highlighted a past incident in Bengaluru where a delivery agent faced abuse for delivering a heavy package, leading to a refund and the agent keeping the apples, a gesture that fostered loyalty.

Further illustrating the value of these workers, the entrepreneur recounted an instance where they refused to hand over a large apple consignment to a single motorcycle rider, insisting on appropriate transport. This led to a change in the logistics company's practices for their orders. The entrepreneur also shared how they initiated an annual tradition of sending fruit to warehouse workers, recognizing their efforts.
