11 Sep
Summary
- Client engagement rose 140 basis points year-over-year in Q2 2026.
- Global contract value reached $5.3 billion, a 1.7% increase.
- Enterprises are prioritizing AI and cybersecurity services.
IT client engagement experienced a notable uplift in the second quarter of 2026, increasing by about 140 basis points compared to the previous year. Both digital and human interaction channels contributed to this expansion, with digital engagement growing over 110 basis points and human interaction exceeding 150 basis points.
Globally, contract value reached $5.3 billion during the same quarter. This represents a modest 1.7% year-over-year rise on an FX-neutral basis and a slight sequential increase. Excluding contracts with the U.S. federal government, contract value saw a more substantial growth of 3.3%.
Management anticipates a consistent upward trend in contract value growth. This positive outlook is attributed to enterprises actively seeking support for critical priorities such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, which are expected to sustain Gartner's long-term relevance in the market.
