Summary
- Energea commits $20 million to finance electric vehicle charging station buildouts.
- A $10 million credit facility is provided to ChargedEV for Tesla V4 Supercharger stations.
- Investments focus on expanding EV charging infrastructure in the growing Southeast US.

Energea, a U.S.-based investment platform, announced an expansion of its investment scope to include electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, moving beyond its traditional solar investments. The Energea Portfolio 4 USA LP has committed up to $20 million to finance the buildout of new EV charging stations.
The portfolio's initial transaction is a $10 million credit facility allocated to ChargedEV, a developer and owner of Tesla V4 Supercharger stations. This capital is earmarked for expanding ChargedEV's operations in the Southeast United States, with initial draws secured by two operating stations in Georgia.
This strategic expansion reflects Energea's view of significant opportunities in broader energy infrastructure. The Southeast U.S., with its robust population growth, requires substantial capital for infrastructure development, including EV charging stations. Energea identifies a growing demand for chargers, creating a new asset class with recurring, energy-based revenue streams.
The financing structure includes monthly payments, a fixed interest rate, seven-year amortization, and a first-priority secured interest in the charging station assets. Energea also has an option to acquire a minority equity interest in these assets. The company plans to pursue similar investments with other charging station developers across the U.S.
Energea, established in 2020, has facilitated over $500 million in total investments across various energy infrastructure portfolios globally. The platform connects individual investors with energy assets, aiming to combine financial returns with measurable environmental and social impact, supporting the global energy transition.
