10 Nov
Summary
- Emami's net profit declined 30.24% in Q2 2025
- Sales dropped 10.34% to Rs 798.51 crore in Q2 2025
- Operating profit margin fell from 27.61% to 22.13%
In the quarter ended September 2025, Emami's financial performance has taken a significant hit. The company's net profit declined by 30.24% to Rs 148.35 crore, compared to Rs 212.66 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. This sharp drop in profitability can be attributed to a 10.34% decline in sales, which fell from Rs 890.59 crore in Q2 2024 to Rs 798.51 crore in the latest quarter.
The weakening demand has also impacted Emami's operating profit margin, which contracted from 27.61% in Q2 2024 to 22.13% in the current quarter. This 5.48 percentage point decline in margins further contributed to the significant drop in the company's bottom line.
Despite the challenging market conditions, Emami remains focused on navigating through this period and exploring new avenues for growth. The management is closely monitoring the situation and implementing strategies to regain its competitive edge in the market.
