30 Sep
Summary
- DoorDash partners with major fashion brands like Macy's for delivery.
- New service allows drivers to pick up and return customer purchases.
- This move expands DoorDash beyond food and into broader retail.

DoorDash is making a significant push into the fashion and apparel sector, broadening its delivery capabilities. The company has established new partnerships with prominent brands such as Macy's, Anthropologie, The North Face, Vans, and Timberland.
These collaborations enable customers to purchase items from these retailers directly through DoorDash's U.S. platform. Deliveries are promised in as little as one hour.
Macy's, already a partner for same-day deliveries, will now see its goods listed on DoorDash's website.
A notable new offering is DoorDash's expanded return service. For a flat fee of $7.99, drivers will collect and return items bought via the app.
This nationwide rollout follows successful testing in several U.S. markets. The service is slated for a full national launch in November.
DoorDash, initially founded as a restaurant delivery service in 2013, has been diversifying its offerings, adding grocery delivery in 2020.
This strategic expansion into retail aims to attract a wider customer base. Recent partnerships also include Gap, Costco, Barnes & Noble, and Kohl's.
DoorDash's competitor, Uber Eats, is also increasing its focus on retail deliveries, having announced a partnership with Foot Locker and expanded Costco deliveries.
