This new facility represents a significant rental commitment, with DHL agreeing to a monthly payment of ₹77 lakh, equating to approximately ₹22 per square foot. The lease tenure is set at 11 months, a common arrangement offering flexibility for renewals and renegotiations, with a security deposit of about ₹2.3 crore paid to the landlord.
The chosen location in Polivakkam is strategically positioned near Thiruvallur, a rapidly developing warehousing cluster. Its proximity to major roads and industrial corridors enhances connectivity to the automotive and electronics manufacturing sectors, making it an attractive site for organized warehousing development.
