Director Tim Heatley emphasizes that the company is committed to "tak[ing] what was private, and we're going to give it to the public." To this end, the scheme has been granted over £11.6 million in funding from the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
Once the redevelopment is complete, the new neighborhood will offer general public access, a stark contrast to the site's previous private ownership. This marks a significant shift, as Heatley notes that the public money was "not taken into the project lightly."
