Summary
- Delhi Metro is introducing in-train audio advertisements.
- Advertisements will play during silent intervals between announcements.
- DMRC aims to boost non-fare revenue by 85% from ads.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is planning to introduce in-train audio advertisements across its Red, Yellow, Blue, and Magenta lines. This initiative aims to significantly boost the DMRC's non-fare revenue and establish its trains as a premium advertising platform, aligning with global transit systems.
A tender has been floated inviting agencies to market and manage these advertisement slots on select trains. The Yellow Line offers substantial advertising inventory, while the Red Line boasts the highest overall seconds of audio availability. Advertisements will only air during the pauses between essential operational announcements.
This expansion follows a successful trial on the Violet Line in December 2023. The selected agency will be responsible for marketing, scheduling, and technical coordination, with the DMRC set to receive 85% of the gross advertising revenue. A portion of the inventory will also be reserved for public service messages.
