Dabur India Reports 15% Q1 Profit Surge

Dabur India reported a significant 15% rise in its consolidated net profit for the June quarter, amounting to Rs 591 crore. This achievement marks the third consecutive quarter of double-digit profit growth for the company.

Consolidated revenue saw an 11% increase, reaching Rs 3,761 crore. The India FMCG business contributed with 9.5% growth, underpinned by 5% underlying volume growth. Operating profit also grew by 11% during the quarter.

The company navigated inflationary pressures and geopolitical uncertainties through disciplined cost management and selective price increases. This strategy helped protect profitability and allowed Dabur to gain market share across over 90% of its portfolio.

Rural demand continued its strong performance, outperforming urban markets for the eighth consecutive quarter. Rural demand grew 6.2%, significantly ahead of urban demand at 4.6%, signaling a broadening consumption trend.

Premiumization also played a key role, with premium brands growing at twice the pace of regular brands. New product launches contributed 2.6% of revenue, strengthening Dabur's presence in new consumer segments.

Dabur's diverse business verticals showed healthy growth: Home and Personal Care increased by 12.3%, Food and Beverages by 7.2%, and Healthcare by 5.5%. Notably, shampoos within HPC grew by 23%.

The Foods category experienced strong growth of 29.2%, with its beverage portfolio also performing well. Dabur's international business reported a 15.5% growth in rupee terms, with several countries showing robust double-digit increases.
