FSSAI Orders Dabur to Halt Sales of Products with False Labels

Food regulator FSSAI has issued a ban on Dabur India from selling several products that featured misleading '100 per cent' claims. This directive covers items such as honey, cow ghee, edible oils, and apple cider vinegar.
The FSSAI stated that labels like '100% Natural,' '100% Pure,' and '100% Purity Guaranteed' contravene the FSS (Advertising & Claims) Regulations, 2018. These claims were deemed ambiguous, unverifiable, and likely to mislead consumers.
Dabur India has been instructed to cease sales of all identified products immediately and to provide an Action Taken Report (ATR) within a 15-day timeframe. This enforcement action follows previous notices to Dabur regarding these misleading claims, to which the company allegedly did not take satisfactory corrective measures.
Additionally, Dabur Himalayan Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Dabur Organic Honey were found to display the Jaivik Bharat Logo without proper FSSAI organic endorsement.
