- The deal strengthens CureBay's rural supply chain.
- Saveo's 10,000 partners join CureBay's network.

Rural healthtech startup CureBay has acquired the pharmaceuticals distribution business of B2B health marketplace Saveo. This strategic acquisition aims to bolster CureBay's rural supply chain and accelerate its full-stack healthcare model in underserved areas. The deal integrates Saveo's 10,000 platform partners across several Indian states into CureBay's existing network of clinics.
CureBay reported that the integration of Saveo's operations is largely complete, with combined efforts already active in some markets. The company, founded in 2022, has raised approximately $35 million to date and aims to address the unique challenges of India's rural healthcare market. This includes improving access to healthcare services and medicines.
The acquisition is poised to enhance CureBay's profitability and customer base by strengthening its medicine supply chain. CureBay's model focuses on providing accessible and affordable healthcare, challenging the notion that rural populations lack spending capacity. The company offers consultations for ₹100 and a ₹499 annual subscription service called Kavach.
CureBay currently operates in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand and plans to expand into Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh within the next two years. The company employs a 'circle' model, with approximately 50 clinics per circle, to serve rural populations efficiently, aiming for profitability within 12-20 months depending on market density.
