Brazilian steel producer CSN is actively pursuing the sale of its cement business, CSN Cimentos, with expectations of raising more than 10 billion reais ($2 billion). The company has engaged in discussions with various potential buyers, encompassing both domestic Brazilian firms and significant international players.
Notable interested parties include Brazil's Votorantim and J&F S.A., alongside Chinese conglomerates such as Anhui Conch Cement, Huaxin Cement, and Sinoma International. These Chinese groups have shown particular interest, with Huaxin Cement having recently acquired a Brazilian company in 2024.

Morgan Stanley is advising CSN on the cement unit sale, while Bradesco and Citibank are managing the logistics company stake sale process.
