Summary
- Craig Hunter appointed MD of new Global Studios division.
- Global Studios focuses on video-first podcast content.
- Hunter previously led factual content at STV Studios.

Craig Hunter has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Global Studios, a division launched by Global last year. Hunter, previously the Creative Director of Factual at STV Studios for seven years, will work closely with Simon Pitts, the former STV boss now heading Global.
Global Studios is dedicated to producing video-first podcast content and aims to be a comprehensive resource for creators. The division already houses successful podcasts such as The News Agents and My Therapist Ghosted Me. Hunter's role will involve leading creative and commercial expansion both domestically and internationally.
Before his tenure at STV Studios, where he oversaw numerous successful factual and antiques programming series, Hunter served as the BBC's lead commissioning editor for natural history. Pitts expressed confidence in Hunter's ability to lead teams and develop new shows into successful brands.
Global has been actively expanding its media interests, notably through the acquisition of Gary Neville's media company, The Overlap. This strategic move aligns with Global's growing focus on digital content and its ambition to become a leading player in the audio and video podcast market.
