The company aims to enhance the safety and shelf-life of pet food products through these innovative materials.
The new portfolio features high heat-resistant TR-BOPP films, anti-fog lidding films, and coated metallised BOPET films, improving adhesion and machinability. Additionally, ultra-high barrier metallised BOPP films are introduced as a potential replacement for aluminum foil, simplifying packaging structures while maintaining crucial moisture and oxygen protection for dry pet food and treats.
Pankaj Poddar, Cosmo First group CEO, highlighted that the company's direct understanding of pet parent consumer behavior, gained from their Zigly pet care business, is instrumental in developing these advanced films. This strategic move underscores Cosmo Films' commitment to innovation and addressing specific market needs within the dynamic pet care sector.
