Vantor Taps Ex-Navy SEAL Cocos for Govt. Business

Will Cocos has been appointed executive vice president and general manager for Vantor's U.S. government business, overseeing its engagement with U.S. defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies. Cocos, who previously served as Vantor's chief transformation officer since 2023, expressed his priority to expedite the delivery of essential capabilities to U.S. warfighters and analysts.

His background includes service as a U.S. Navy SEAL and combat experience in Afghanistan and Iraq. Prior to joining Vantor, Cocos held leadership roles in the technology sector and was a partner at Boston Consulting Group. This transition follows Susanne Hake's departure from leading Vantor's U.S. government operations since 2023.

The leadership change aligns with Vantor's strategic move to expand its business beyond its long-standing provision of high-resolution satellite imagery. The company, formerly Maxar Intelligence, is now focused on offering a wider array of software, data, and intelligence capabilities to its government clients.

Vantor continues to be a significant supplier to the U.S. government, operating 10 high-resolution imaging satellites and planning further constellation expansions. Its geospatial-intelligence platform, G-EGD Pro, serves over 1.2 million users across numerous government organizations.
