CNG and PNG Prices Slashed by Rs 1!

GAIL Gas Limited has implemented a Rs 1 reduction on both Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) across all its authorized regions. This price adjustment, effective from Thursday, applies to GAIL Gas's geographical areas spanning Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Odisha. The decision reflects the ongoing progressive policy measures by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and the PNGRB.

The rationale behind this price cut stems from the rationalized tariff structure for natural gas pipelines announced by the PNGRB on December 16. These revised tariffs, effective January 1, 2026, simplify and reduce the cost of natural gas transportation. The new regime consolidates distance-based tariff zones into just two, with a single lower Zone-1 rate now applied nationwide for CNG and domestic PNG customers, irrespective of their distance from the gas source.

This strategic price reduction by GAIL Gas aligns with the Government of India's vision to promote a gas-based economy and foster the increased utilization of clean fuels. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited, GAIL Gas is committed to implementing city gas distribution networks and supporting the nation's clean energy transition.
