28 May
Summary
- Annualized revenue run rate now exceeds $250 million.
- Company valuation reached $15 billion after Series D funding.
- Four-year-old startup targets IPO in coming years.

Database provider ClickHouse has announced its annualized revenue run rate has surpassed $250 million, a significant three-fold growth compared to the prior year. This financial milestone was revealed by Yury Izrailevsky, co-founder and president of product and technology. He anticipates the revenue to reach the high-nine digits by the close of 2026.
Following a $400 million Series D funding round in January, ClickHouse secured a valuation of $15 billion. This valuation represents a multiple of over 60 times its annualized revenue. The company, established less than five years ago, is now preparing for a potential initial public offering (IPO) in the coming years.
ClickHouse's rapid revenue expansion and high valuation suggest a move towards public markets. The company hired Jimmy Sexton, former investor relations head at competitor Snowflake, as its CFO last fall, a move often indicative of IPO preparations. ClickHouse has also been acquisitive, acquiring six startups to date.
Originally developed within Yandex 17 years ago, ClickHouse spun out as an independent startup in 2021. It serves over 4,000 customers, including major organizations like Anthropic and Meta. The company's open-source database is specifically designed for the massive datasets required by AI agents, generating revenue through managed cloud services that Izrailevsky claims are more cost-effective for clients than self-management.
