- The challenge is active until October 31, 2025.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has initiated a 'Clean Toilet Picture Challenge' to incentivize the reporting of unclean toilet facilities at national highway toll plazas. This program, running until October 31, 2025, rewards users with a Rs 1,000 FASTag recharge for submitting geo-tagged photographs of dirty toilets through the RajmargYatra app.
This cleanliness drive is a component of the government's 'Special Campaign 5.0', designed to elevate hygiene standards across national highways. The scheme is exclusively for toilets managed under NHAI's purview, excluding facilities at petrol pumps or dhabas. Each vehicle can receive only one reward, and only the first valid daily report for a specific toilet will qualify, with AI and manual checks ensuring report authenticity.
