Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has once again solidified its standing as Kerala's premier airport operator by successfully managing passenger traffic exceeding 10 million for the third consecutive year. In 2025, the airport facilitated the movement of 11,519,356 passengers, marking a healthy 4.85% year-on-year increase from the previous year's figures.
This sustained performance, with passenger numbers surpassing 10 million for three straight years, reflects balanced growth across both domestic and international travel. May 2025 stood out as the busiest month, recording over 1.1 million passengers. Despite a slight decrease in aircraft movements, CIAL's passenger traffic continued to climb, attributed to improved load factors and efficient operations.
CIAL's ongoing transformation initiative, CIAL 2.0, has been instrumental in enhancing the passenger experience through digitised systems and improved amenities. Future upgrades include the implementation of Full Body Scanners to bolster security screening standards and passenger comfort, aligning with global aviation benchmarks.
