The Chhattisgarh Housing Board (CGHB) has initiated a substantial expansion of its affordable housing endeavors, launching 55 new projects valued at Rs 2,060 crore. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai officially inaugurated the projects at a housing industry fair held in Raipur. This significant launch includes the development of 12,000 new homes, underscoring the government's commitment to accessible housing. The state has also demonstrated strong financial backing by clearing Rs 790 crore in loans for the CGHB.
This initiative represents a major step in addressing housing needs, with further plans including the sanctioning of 32,000 homes for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups under the PM Janman Yojana. Additionally, 15,000 homes have been approved for residents in Bastar.
