Summary
- £4.5 million allocated from Mayoral Investment Fund for projects.
- £400,000 approved for an economic review to guide future priorities.
- £35,000 earmarked for participation in an India trade mission.

Cheshire and Warrington Combined Authority (CWCA) is poised to approve key financial decisions, including the allocation of £4.5 million from the government-backed Mayoral Investment Fund. This fund, intended for project investments, will see a portion of its initial £10.8 million allocation for this year utilized.
Furthermore, the authority plans to greenlight £400,000 for a comprehensive economic review. This review aims to "identify choices, trade-offs and constraints" to inform future political priorities once a mayor is elected. The CWCA, established in February, is preparing for its first mayoral elections in May 2027.
In preparation for strengthening international economic relationships, CWCA is also set to approve £35,000 towards joining a trade mission to India in October. This initiative acknowledges the significant presence of over 50 India-linked businesses supporting more than 4,000 local jobs, highlighting India as a key international economic partner.
