Purvah Green Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of CESC Limited, has officially received and accepted a Letter of Award from REMC Limited. This significant development stems from an open competitive bidding process for grid-connected renewable energy projects, potentially including energy storage systems.
The awarded project is focused on the supply of 180 MW of round-the-clock (RTC) power. The agreement establishes a substantial contract period, which will extend for 25 years commencing from the date the project is successfully commissioned.
This contract award comes at a time when CESC Limited reported a robust financial performance. In October, the company announced a 20.4% year-on-year increase in net profit for the second quarter, reaching ₹425 crore, with revenue also rising to ₹5,267 crore.
