Central Ohio Developer Proposes 350-Unit Housing Project in Delaware

In a move to expand housing options in central Ohio, a local home builder is proposing a major residential development in the city of Delaware. Romanelli Company, LLC has submitted a concept plan to the city to build nearly 350 housing units on 101.5 acres of land.
The plan calls for 110 attached townhomes and 237 single-family homes to be constructed on the south side of the east-west portion of Berlin Station Road, east of the railroad tracks. The 101.5-acre site is part of 109.01 acres that are currently in the process of being annexed into the southeastern section of Delaware from Berlin Township.
The city's planning commission has already approved the concept plan during a meeting on November 5th, and it is now set to go before the Delaware City Council for a first reading on December 8th, along with the annexation petition. If approved, the development would bring a significant number of new homes to the area, which is within the Olentangy Local School District.
