Carnival Cruise Line celebrated a significant milestone with the steel-cutting ceremony for its newest ship, Carnival Destiny, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. This vessel, scheduled for delivery in summer 2029, is the first of three ships in the upcoming Ace Class. Carnival Destiny is engineered to offer an unprecedented connection to the ocean, featuring a high volume of glass and numerous ocean-view balcony cabins. Its design aims to create a more outward-facing experience, maximizing sea views for guests.
Beyond its visual innovations, Carnival Destiny will introduce a bold evolution in onboard engagement. More than 70 percent of its venues and attractions will be entirely new to Carnival, encompassing reimagined dining, advanced bars and lounges, immersive entertainment, and vibrant outdoor spaces. This new class of ship builds upon Carnival's legacy of innovation, aiming to elevate the guest experience with a more expansive feel and deeper connection to the sea. Two additional Ace Class ships are planned for 2031 and 2033.
