A car wash business owner in Lancashire has been banned from acting as a director for seven years. This action follows the discovery that the business employed three individuals who lacked the legal right to work in the UK. The company, Burnley Hand Car Wash Ltd, located on Manchester Road, Burnley, was also issued a significant fine of £120,000.
The illegal workers were employed by the company during the period between July 1 and September 30, 2024. A deadline of August 7, 2024, was set for the payment of the £120,000 fine, but this payment was not made.
As a direct result of the unpaid fine and the employment violations, Rizgar Ahmed Abdulaziz, aged 59 and residing in Huddersfield, has been disqualified from holding any directorship for a period of seven years.
