Summary
- The Boeing 737 Max 10 has received FAA certification.
- This largest variant seats up to 210 passengers.
- WestJet expects the first deliveries in early 2027.

The Federal Aviation Administration has certified the Boeing 737 Max 10, completing the certification for Boeing's best-selling aircraft range. The Max 10, the largest variant, can seat up to 210 passengers and is seen as a successor to the 757. Its certification followed extensive scrutiny due to the 2018-2019 crashes and new regulations established by the Aircraft Certification, Safety, and Accountability Act of 2020.
The Max 10 variant accounts for over 30% of current 737 Max orders. Canadian airline WestJet is expected to be the first to receive these new aircraft in early 2027, pending Canadian regulatory approval. Boeing will then fulfill its 1,555 orders for customers worldwide.
Each 737 Max variant serves a specific purpose. The Max 10 boasts the lowest per-seat cost for a single-aisle aircraft. While its 3,100-nautical-mile range is the shortest in the Max family, the popular Max 8 and 9 variants offer longer ranges and have become Boeing's top sellers.
