Herbal wellness brand Blue Tea reported a 28% year-on-year increase in operating revenue, reaching Rs 37 crore for the fiscal year ending March 2025. The company maintained profitability throughout this period, with co-founder Nitesh Singh highlighting a 68% growth in annual recurring revenue fueled by increased order frequency and broader market reach.
India represented 80% of Blue Tea's total revenue, with global markets contributing the remainder. Significantly, the brand has expanded its presence beyond major cities, with nearly 59% of its domestic sales now originating from non-metro and non-tier I markets. This trend underscores a growing consumer preference for herbal wellness beverages in smaller Indian cities.
Quick commerce emerged as a key growth driver for Blue Tea in FY25, with sales across platforms like Blinkit, Flipkart Minutes, Amazon Now, and Zepto surging by 20X over the past six months. The company currently sells approximately 5,200 units daily across all channels. Over the last 36 months, Blue Tea's sales within India have expanded by an impressive 20X.
Operating within a $6 billion wellness beverage market, Blue Tea benefits from the rising demand for caffeine-free, plant-based, and functional drinks. Established in 2018, the company employs a farm-to-cup sourcing model, collaborating directly with over 600 farmers to ensure quality control and supply chain transparency while managing costs effectively.
Looking ahead, Blue Tea has already clocked Rs 52 crore in revenue by January of the current fiscal year. The company projects Rs 65 crore for FY26, aiming for over 60% year-on-year growth with a strategic focus on quick commerce and distribution expansion. The long-term vision is to scale revenues to Rs 350 crore within the next three years.
