BLS International: Beyond Visas to Digital Services
16 Jul
Summary
- Digital services now contribute nearly two-fifths of BLS revenue.
- Company achieved record revenue of Rs 2,998 crore in FY26.
- Strong balance sheet with net cash increasing to Rs 1,434 crore.

BLS International, historically known for visa and consular services, is demonstrating substantial growth from its expanding digital public services segment. This diversification has propelled the company to achieve record revenue of Rs 2,998 crore and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 724 crore in Financial Year 2026 (FY26).
The Visa and Consular Services business generated Rs 1,840 crore in FY26, while the Digital Services segment saw remarkable growth, contributing Rs 1,158 crore. This signifies that nearly 40% of BLS's revenue now originates from non-visa processing activities, broadening its revenue base.
Management attributes the strong performance to increased visa application volumes, enhanced revenue per application, and strategic contract wins, including a significant Rs 2,055 crore order from UIDAI for Aadhaar Seva Kendras.
Financially, BLS International reports a robust balance sheet with net cash at Rs 1,434 crore as of March 31, 2026, coupled with healthy return ratios like ROE at 32.7% and ROCE at 29.3%.
Despite risks such as contract dependency and geopolitical impacts on travel, BLS International's strategic shift towards a diversified government services platform, combining profitable visa outsourcing with growing digital services, positions it for continued evolution.
