More Payload, More Profit: BharatBenz BB1924 Arrives

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has introduced the BharatBenz BB1924, a new heavy-duty bus chassis specifically engineered for India's expanding intercity passenger transport sector. This upgraded model, with a Gross Vehicle Weight of 19.5 tonnes, is designed to meet the escalating demand for greater payload capacity and enhanced passenger comfort, thereby reducing operating costs for bus operators.

Field trials conducted across major routes such as Mumbai-Pune and Delhi-Jaipur have indicated a significant reduction in the total cost of ownership compared to current solutions. The enhanced capacity, an increase from 18.5 to 19.5 tonnes, allows for an additional tonne of parcel load, potentially boosting operator revenue from both passenger services and logistics.

The BB1924 will be accessible throughout India via BharatBenz's network of 398 authorized service centers. To facilitate purchasing, the company has partnered with over 15 financial institutions, offering competitive financing with interest rates commencing at 8.5% per annum and flexible repayment periods up to five years.
