The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is launching a special "Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train" package, designed for pilgrims seeking to visit prominent religious destinations in South India. This initiative aims to promote religious tourism by providing a comfortable and organized travel experience.
The 12-day tour, spanning from April 11 to April 22, 2026, will commence from Gorakhpur Railway Station. It includes visits to significant sites such as the Tirupati Balaji Temple, Ramanathaswamy Temple, Meenakshi Temple, Kanyakumari, and Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga.
IRCTC offers three package categories: Economy (Sleeper Class) starting at ₹24,790, Standard (3AC) at ₹42,530, and Comfort (2AC) at ₹56,710 per person. All packages include train travel, vegetarian meals, accommodation, and local sightseeing.
Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis via the IRCTC Tourism website or the Lucknow office. EMI and LTC facilities are available, making the pilgrimage more accessible for devotees.
