These agreements fall under the Emergency Procurement - VI framework, demonstrating a swift response to urgent national security needs. The procurement will bolster the capabilities of the Indian Army and Indian Navy.
The contracts specifically focus on indigenous unmanned systems, including advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms, as well as loitering munitions. These systems, named Omega One, Omega Nine, Bayonet, and Cleaver, have been developed to address critical operational requirements across varied terrains and complex mission profiles.
