Summary
- Best Western's 4,000+ hotels now united under WorldHotels.
- A new unified loyalty program launches January 2027.
- Individual hotel names and signage will not change.
Best Western Hotels & Resorts is evolving, with its extensive global portfolio of over 4,000 properties now operating under the consolidated name, WorldHotels. This strategic move aims to enhance traveler perception of the brand's diverse offerings, which span 18 different hotel brands including Best Western, Best Western Plus, and Aiden.
The brand consolidation is accompanied by a revamped digital presence, featuring a new website launched on October 27 and a redesigned mobile app set for release in January. A key highlight is the upcoming WorldHotels Rewards loyalty program, merging the current Best Western Rewards and WorldHotels Rewards programs. This unified program is scheduled to launch on January 5, 2027, and will feature three membership tiers.
Existing loyalty members are assured that their points and benefits will be preserved, with points never expiring. The new WorldHotels Rewards program will allow members to earn and redeem points across the entire portfolio, including luxury properties, without blackout dates. Milestone rewards, such as bonus points after 10 and 20 nights, are also being introduced to further incentivize loyalty. Status matching with competing programs will continue.
While the umbrella brand is changing, individual hotel names and signage will remain unaffected, ensuring travelers will still recognize their familiar local establishments. WorldHotels is also introducing an innovative digital discovery platform, leveraging AI and insights from hotel employees to provide personalized recommendations for local attractions and experiences, aiming to connect travelers with authentic, destination-rooted experiences.
