Summary
- Minister disguised himself to inspect Bengaluru buses.
- Bus crew suspended for skipping a passenger's stop.
- Minister also faced an auto driver overcharging.

Karnataka's Transport Minister Byrathi Suresh undertook an unannounced, undercover inspection of BMTC bus services in Bengaluru on Saturday evening. Traveling incognito for over two hours after 7 pm, Suresh boarded more than ten buses to personally assess service quality.
During his inspection, Suresh observed a bus driver and conductor skipping a designated stop despite a passenger's signal. He immediately confronted the crew and ordered their suspension on the spot for this lapse.
Further issues came to light when Suresh later took an auto-rickshaw, where the driver charged six rupees more than the meter indicated. The driver admitted the meter needed recalibration. In another incident, a BMTC conductor allegedly refused to accept a Rs 100 note for two tickets, citing a lack of change and asking the minister to alight.
