State-owned Bank of Baroda reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of ₹6,532 crore for the July-September quarter of FY27, a 36% rise from the previous year. This achievement was significantly boosted by a sharp increase in non-interest income, largely due to substantial treasury gains from the National Stock Exchange IPO.
The bank's net interest income grew 9% year-on-year to ₹13,026 crore. However, its net interest margin experienced a slight contraction of 3 basis points to 2.74% in Q2FY27. Provisions increased significantly by 93% year-on-year to ₹2,382 crore.
Asset quality showed marked improvement. The gross non-performing assets ratio declined to 1.78%, and net NPAs fell to 0.37% by the end of the quarter. Global advances saw a healthy 18.3% year-on-year growth to ₹15.12 trillion in September 2026, with international advances leading the surge.
