Railway Official Inspects Banaras Station Amenities

On Sunday, Sanjay Mishra, the additional member (Tourism and Catering) of the Railway Board, visited Banaras Railway Station to evaluate passenger amenities and service standards. Accompanied by senior officials, Mishra's inspection covered a wide range of facilities.
Key areas reviewed included the IRCTC-run Food Plaza, catering stalls, Yatri Niwas, dormitory services, air-conditioned waiting halls, and pay-and-use toilets. The efficiency of ticket counters, ATVMs, the digital charting system, and water vending stalls were also assessed. Additionally, the Rail Coach Restaurant and station concourse were inspected.
Mishra also paid close attention to the 'One Station One Product' initiative. He examined the quality, packaging, and pricing of local handicrafts and goods, such as Banarasi sarees and black pottery, underscoring the station's role in promoting regional products.
