The transaction is valued at €184 million and includes two production facilities situated in Belgium and Hungary. Benepack shareholders will retain the remaining 20% ownership, with the deal anticipated to finalize in the first quarter of 2026.
Benepack is a key supplier of aluminium beverage cans to both multinational and domestic drinks companies across Western and Eastern Europe. Ball Corporation's CEO, Ron Lewis, highlighted the strategic fit, noting that Benepack's plants are well-positioned to cater to a growing customer base and optimize the company's European manufacturing network.
This investment aims to support long-term volume growth and reinforce aluminium beverage cans as a sustainable packaging choice. All necessary regulatory approvals have been secured, though the transaction remains subject to standard closing conditions. Ball Corporation, a global aluminium packaging provider, reported 2024 net sales of $11.8 billion.
