Bailey Nurseries has sold 184 acres of land for a substantial redevelopment project that will introduce residential, retail, and business park spaces. Construction is anticipated to commence in late summer or fall, with an estimated development timeline of two to four years. This significant transformation aims to enhance the Woodbury and Newport areas.
The first phase of this development, named Bailey Farm, will be situated in Newport just north of Bailey Road. This initial segment will include two industrial buildings, a multi-family apartment complex, and a Kwik Trip convenience store. The broader project envisions up to 360 attached residential units, approximately 90,000 square feet of retail space, and over 660,000 square feet of business park land.
Development has been underway for over five years, with formal plans expected in spring and summer. This project will extend Century Avenue south of Carver Avenue to Bailey Road and includes a public/semi-public recreational area for New Life Academy. The full build-out is projected to take over five years, bringing new housing, shopping opportunities, and light industrial spaces to the region.
