Astral Ltd announced on June 11, 2026, that its subsidiary, Astral Chemie Ltd, has entered into definitive agreements to acquire a 60% partnership interest in Differentiated and Sustainable Solutions LLP (DSS). The aggregate consideration for this transaction is ₹39.11 crore, to be paid in cash.
Upon completion, expected by August 31, 2026, DSS will become a subsidiary of Astral Chemie Ltd. DSS specializes in developing technologies for specialty chemicals and advanced materials crucial for sectors including electronics, aerospace, renewable energies, and infrastructure.
The company holds intellectual property rights for multiple chemical processes and products, with a notable capacity for specialty polyamines and high-purity bismaleimides and benzoxazines. DSS is recognized as the sole entity in India with the technology to produce a wide range of these imported materials.
This acquisition supports Astral's strategy for backward integration in essential raw materials. It also enhances Astral's capabilities in adhesives, coatings, and construction chemicals, while opening new avenues in high-growth sectors like electronics and aerospace.
