AngelList Acquires Fund Software Firm Ark PES

AngelList has acquired Ark PES, a significant provider of fund management software specifically designed for private markets. Ark PES currently manages and supports over $185 billion in assets for more than 500 general partners and fund administrators within the venture capital and private equity sectors.

This merger combines Ark's established fund administration software with AngelList's existing banking, payments, investor services, and AI development infrastructure. The goal is to create a more comprehensive platform accessible to fund administrators throughout the private markets.

The integrated entity will focus on co-investing in new capabilities to empower fund managers, limited partners, and administrators to streamline and expand their operational activities. Ark's CEO, Bill Ward, expressed that joining AngelList will accelerate their mission to provide superior software for fund administration and GP services.

AngelList will also support Ark's integration of artificial intelligence into fund accounting, investor reporting, and fundraising processes. This initiative is expected to reduce manual tasks, boost accuracy, and improve data accessibility for Ark's user base. The combined product suite will cover essential functions like cap table management, portfolio monitoring, fund administration, and investor relations.

Furthermore, Ark's administrator clients will benefit from AngelList's banking network, enabling faster processing of capital calls, distributions, and subscriptions. AngelList CEO Avlok Kohli highlighted that this consolidation will significantly enhance customer benefits, particularly in AI capabilities and product development, creating a complete solution for private markets.
