Regular operations for the Banaras-Sealdah Amrit Bharat Express commenced this Friday from Banaras railway station. This new train will depart from Varanasi every Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday, with return journeys from Sealdah on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
Each Amrit Bharat Express comprises 18 coaches, including eight sleeper, eight general/second class, and two LSLRD coaches. It is outfitted with advanced safety technologies such as the Kavach system, semi-automatic couplers, and crash tubes, ensuring immediate braking in emergencies.
Passenger comfort is prioritized with features like foldable snack tables, mobile and bottle holders, comfortable seating, and improved berths. Modern toilet facilities include electro-pneumatic flushing, automatic soap dispensers, and fire suppression systems, with special provision for persons with disabilities.
