- Company saw Bitcoin holdings increase by 14% in Q2.

American Bitcoin CEO Mike Ho deflected inquiries about potentially selling Bitcoin to finance equity buybacks, a strategy adopted by some industry peers. Instead, Ho reiterated the company's primary objective, termed its 'North Star': enhancing the amount of Bitcoin held per outstanding share.
During the second quarter, American Bitcoin's Bitcoin holdings increased by 14%, while its shares outstanding grew by approximately 3%, resulting in an 11% rise in Bitcoin per share. The company's strategy involves large-scale mining and consistent Bitcoin purchases to grow its reserves.
Despite these efforts, American Bitcoin reported second-quarter revenue of $67.015 million, falling short of the $73 million expected by analysts. The company also posted a loss per share of $0.80, significantly missing the consensus estimate of $0.15.
Eric Trump, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer, affirmed the company's 'absolute Bitcoin maximalist' stance, expressing strong confidence in Bitcoin's future. American Bitcoin, which began trading on the Nasdaq in September of the previous year, currently holds 8,300 BTC valued at $527 million. However, the company's stock performance has been challenging, with a 95% drop since its initial public offering.
