Amazon India is set to expand its Ashray network of rest centers for delivery drivers to 250 locations by the close of 2026. This expansion builds upon the current 100 facilities operating nationwide. The company plans to launch 50 new centers by the end of May.
These Ashray centers offer amenities including air-conditioned seating, drinking water, and charging stations, providing a crucial respite for drivers. Mobile Ashray units, which are air-conditioned vans, have also been deployed along busy delivery routes to offer immediate access to rest and hydration.
The existing 100 centers, established in 16 cities, recorded over one million visits from drivers in 2025. Amazon India is collaborating with partners like HPCL, Udyasa Foundation, and READ India to establish the new centers as part of a broader investment in associate safety and wellbeing.
