Alt DRX, India's first tokenized digital real estate marketplace, has appointed respected business leader Manoj Kohli to its Advisory Board. This appointment is seen as a significant moment for asset tokenization in India, indicating a shift towards viewing the sector as a structural change rather than mere speculation.
Manoj Kohli brings extensive global leadership experience from telecommunications, technology, and renewable energy sectors. His past roles include scaling Bharti Airtel across 20 countries and overseeing substantial investments at SoftBank India in companies like Ola and OYO. He currently advises leaders across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and the United States.
With Kohli's addition, Alt DRX's Advisory Board now includes prominent figures like former SEBI Chairman GN Bajpai and ex-CEO of KPMG India Richard Rekhy. This strengthens Alt DRX's governance structure as it focuses on making housing, India's most aspirational asset class, more accessible through tokenization.
Alt DRX operates as a D2C asset tokenization marketplace for middle India, utilizing algorithmic pricing and blockchain ledgers. The company also holds a license from the Qatar Financial Centre, enabling B2B use cases in the Middle East, and is seeking consent from IFSCA to tokenize offshore assets. It has an ARR of approximately ₹35 crores and processes around 425,000 transactions annually.
