15 May
Summary
- Privacy-focused micro workspaces are now available at Hyderabad airport.
- Pods can be booked via QR code for 30-minute sessions.
- Expansion to Delhi and Mumbai airports is being explored.

Privacy-focused micro workspaces have been launched at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad by Indian startup MioPods.Space. Four units are situated near boarding gates 9 and 10, offering enclosed spaces for passengers needing to work or take private calls during transit. This pilot service aims to utilize airport waiting time effectively.
Access to these pods is facilitated by a QR-code-based booking system, allowing advance reservations or immediate use. The current introductory price is ₹299 for a 30-minute session. Each unit is equipped with seating, lighting, charging ports, ventilation, and soundproofing.
Founder Vikas Sethia stated the concept addresses the growing need for functional spaces as work and travel increasingly overlap. MioPods.Space is considering expanding this offering to other major Indian airports, including Delhi and Mumbai, following the Hyderabad launch.
