Starting October 25, 2026, Air India will introduce a new seasonal non-stop flight service connecting Mumbai and Toronto, operating three times a week until March 26, 2027. This new route, flown on a Boeing 777-300ER, is set to add approximately 2,000 seats weekly between India and Canada and is exclusively operated by Air India.
The airline is also enhancing its existing Delhi-Toronto service. Seven of the ten weekly flights will utilize the brand-new Boeing 787-9 aircraft, while the remaining three will transition to this newer model from January 2027. This strategic upgrade ensures all Air India flights serving Toronto now feature newly designed or significantly improved cabin interiors.
This expansion of services will bring the total weekly flights between India and Canada to 20 during the 2026-27 winter season. This includes ten flights from Delhi to Toronto and seven from Delhi to Vancouver. Passengers will benefit from upgraded cabin amenities, including WiFi on the Mumbai-Toronto flights.
Connections to various Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, and Chennai, will be available through Air India's hubs in Mumbai and Delhi, offering seamless travel for passengers traveling to or from Canada.
