Air India is significantly upgrading its Delhi-Melbourne service with the introduction of B777-300ER aircraft, featuring enhanced cabin interiors. This change brings First Class suites and fully flat Business Class beds to the route for the first time.
The upgraded aircraft offers eight private First Class suites and 40 Business Class flat beds, a notable increase in premium capacity. Passengers will benefit from improved comfort, privacy, and personalized service.
Further enhancements include refreshed food and beverage menus, featuring global and Indian cuisine, alongside premium wines. Passengers will also have access to an expanded in-flight entertainment library and Wi-Fi internet connectivity.
This upgrade is part of Air India's wider investment in customer experience, including access to the new Maharaja Lounge in Delhi for eligible premium travelers. The airline currently operates four weekly non-stop flights and will increase this to seven times weekly from September 1, 2026.
